Article marketing is one of my favorite forms of online marketing. Main reason it is a main source of free traffic to my sites. Second reason is you do the work once and it continues to produce years from now. But how do you get the most of out your articles? How to create the perfect storm?

Many get online and chase people all over the internet. The key is to find out where traffic is and get your articles in front of that traffic. You can buy this with paid per click or other paid advertising. I prefer to use other forms of traffic that is practically free.

Here is how to get your articles in front of this traffic all on autopilot.

When you use article directories like ezinearticles or goarticles, set them up correctly. Tie your Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites together. Then whenever you submit a new article, your article is sent automatically to your twitter feed and Facebook wall.

You also have a RSS feed for most of the article directories and your blog. You can find many tools, some free and some paid that will take your RSS feed from any of these article directories and send them to your Linkedin, MySpace, Twitter, Facebook Wall, Facebook Group, Facebook Fan Page and many others, all on autopilot.

How to do it

You need to setup your accounts to every social media group you want to be associated with.

Find all of your RSS feeds with every account. You may need to contact support for some sites.

Tie all of these sites together. Go to services like twitterfeed (and many more) to tie in more of your sites.

Go to OnlyWire and setup an account and input all of your RSS feeds. You can syndicate to over 30 sites with this one tool.

The power of doing your work one time and as well as setting up your accounts correctly can and will send your articles in front of traffic and not chasing traffic.
