What is Your Business?

I am often asked what is my primary business. I simply  reply that my only business is ME! I am my own business. I don’t work for a MLM, Network Marketing or Affiliate Marketing company. Although I do have many income streams from each of those within my Jim McGilvary business.

We know that 9 out of 10 business fail within the first year of business. My mindset is that if 9 out of 10 companies go out of business within the first year of operation. Then I need to start 20, 30 or 50 businesses. Each income stream that I bring into my business is part of the whole. Why can’t I be like WalMart. Have one of everything for my customers? I don’t want to be limited to what I can offer and I don’t want to be just in the business just for a buck.

My business is helping others become successful in our great industry. The more solutions to issues or problems I can offer, the more value I can bring and help others. The more success my team has the more success I have. That is what my business and what I think the home based business is all about. My business is all about personal and business development.

I always look for additional income streams that I can bring into my business. I  evaluate many opportunities each month. Some I bring into my business and many I do not. I must be able to use the products and or services personally or offer some value to my business in marketing or solving an issue that I have or one of my team member has.

In the end the most important note is that you are your business. You must think and act as if you are a large business being traded on Wall Street. Find the income streams that meet your own critera and promote within your business. Do not get tied down to one income stream in your business. No business has only one product or income stream and you as your business should not as well.
